Transformer diagnostics

In order to fulfill all customers' needs we gradually increase our transformer diagnostic base, one of the best equipped diagnostic stations in Poland. Thanks to cooperation with the science and research institutes, our diagnostic group provides services to our customers and it is also used for scientific purposes, contributing to the broadening of our knowledge base concerning transformers.

We perform periodic tests, post assembly test and post failure tests of unit transformers (also network, furnace and rectifier transformers) with power to 630 MVA and voltage to 400 kV. Besides, we perform full chemical and electric tests of transformer oil as well as electroinsulating material inspections.

There are examples of tests, in which TurboCare Poland S.A. is highly specialization and experienced, received favorable customer recommendations.

Diagnostics of Transformers:

  • Insulation resistance measurement,
  • Voltage-ratio measurement,
  • Measurement of windings active resistance,
  • Measurements of tg ? ?and Cx,
  • Magnetizing currents measurement,
  • Measurement of auxiliary circuits,
  • Measurement of on-load tap-changers.

Thermovision (infrared mapping) camera measurements and tests:

  • Inaccessible and hazardous objects temperature measurements,
  • Temperature distribution specification in transformer and its constructional elements,
  • Thermal tendencies specification.

We use modern apparatuses in order to provide high quality tests: high-voltage test facility, thermal tests, impulse tests and thermovision camera.
